This vintage Japanese hand-crafted silk and cotton blend haori features a beautiful deep purple base adorned with the traditional seigaiha (青海波) or “blue ocean waves” pattern, a classic motif symbolizing peace, good luck, and resilience. Inside, is lined with a white patterned with subtle chrysanthemums (kiku). The contrast between the wave motif on the outside and the softly blooming interior creates a refined duality—one of calm strength and delicate beauty.
This haori can be worn open or secured with the inner tie and features a unique overlapping front panel that closes with two matching fabric-covered buttons for a tailored silhouette.
